Shrubs Ophiopogon Planiscapus Nigrescens Black Mondo

Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens is a bit of a mouth full but you might know her as Black Mondo.  This little guy is perfect for edging around pavers, along pathways or in a container. It is an easy-care groundcover that you can plant and forget. Black Mondo Grass grows similar to the dwarf mondo grass in cute clumps of black foliage that looks striking planted next to silver foliage plants like the Dichondra Silver Falls.

• What to use me for: Great as a groundcover in an architectural garden or in between pavers for an easy-care option

• I grow to: I am a compact little thing and get to15cm high, 30cm wide 

• Where to place me: I do well in full sun to part shade

• How far to space me: Place me 15cm apart for nice coverage

• Watering conditions: I am relatively drought tolerant once established 

• Soil Conditions: I like rich, well-drained soil but can adapt to a range of conditions
