Banksia spinulosa is a beautiful Australian native shrub with large, golden cylindrical upright flowers that measure almost 10cm tall.
Also know an as the Hairpin Banksia this guy grows along the east coast of Australia from Northern Queensland to Southern Victoria handling most soil types, drought, frost and coastal conditions. It forms a nice rounded appearance and the long narrow leaves look similar to rosemary. It is an easy growing specimen plant, perfect for bush regeneration, or just to encourage more native wildlife into the garden.Â
