Yes, that’s quite a mouthful, but he can make up for it by transforming into a climber, creeper or hanging pot plant either in the house or outside in the shade.

This classy Peperomia has a spreading, scrambling growth habit. He looks great in hanging baskets on the balcony, or in a pot where his fleshy stems can show off the smooth emerald green leaves with a flashy cream border to their full advantage. The contrasting edge means his leaves pop out of the background making him a real favourite with interior designers.

If you take care of him small white flowers will pop through the foliage. So he’s high maintenance you ask? Not at all. He’s still a Peperomia which means he’s one of the easiest houseplants and likes neglect.

Your job is to put him in free-draining good quality potting mix, find a bright spot in filtered sunlight and only water when the soil has dried out. If you’re planning to put him outside choose an understory spot and make sure the soil isn’t heavy.
